How long will the class last?
Our classes run for an hour. However, massage will be no longer than 20 minutes to avoid overstimulation of your baby.
What oil do we use?
We supply sunflower oil for our classes. Sunflower oil is unlikely to cause allergic reactions and is non-toxic if it goes in your baby's mouth.
What if my baby cries?
This is normal. You may find your baby crying during one of our classes. There may be a particular move they do not like, or are experiencing digestive movement. This does not mean you’re doing anything wrong.
If your baby cries during a class, then comfort your baby and assess whether you think they can continue. After all, you know your baby best. You may cuddle your baby while you observe the rest of the techniques. As always, you may practise outside of our classes.
How old does my baby need to be?
Each of our classes has a set age range, this is to ensure you learn techniques suited for your baby’s developmental progress.

Baby massage - 2 months to 10 months
Why does my baby need to be 6 weeks or older?
Baby massage can be over stimulating for babies younger than 6 weeks. It is also advised that they have had their 6 weeks check as this would highlight any potential problems with their hips.
What if my baby is asleep during a class?
If your baby is asleep, you can observe the massage being taught or practice on a demonstration doll if you prefer.
We bring a demonstration doll to every class to ensure you have the option should your baby be asleep.
What if my baby is ill?
If your baby is unwell with a contagious illness, such as sickness, diarrhoea or flu, please do not attend your group class for the safety of others.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer reschedules or refunds for group courses, as your space is reserved for the full 4 weeks. However, please don’t worry — we revisit and recap previous weeks’ techniques at the end of each session, so you won’t miss out on learning the content.
If your infant has a contagious illness, on a scheduled private baby massage class, don’t worry, this will not be at a loss to one of our sessions, we will simply delay your booking.
